The School Day

School Hours
8.45am – 3.15pm (32hrs 30mins)

Nursery Hours
8.00am – 6.00pm

Castle Hill School
Children should arrive at school no earlier than 8.35am as before this time there is no staff supervision and the school cannot accept responsibility for them.

At least two members of staff will be on duty in the Denmark Street entrance from 8.35am. There will also be a member of the Senior Leadership Team on duty every morning.

Children are allowed up onto the playground from 8.35am and gates close at 8.50am for years 1-6.

Children in year R are allowed through a separate gate at 8.50am and the gate closes at 8.55am.

​The school day ends at:

• 3.05pm – Year R collection from the classroom
• 3.10pm – Years 1&2 collection from the front playground
• 3.15pm – Years 3-6 collection from the main playground
