Year 1 Trip to Brogdale Fruit Collections

Year 1 visited Brogdale Collections – The home of the National Fruit Collection.
The trip was to support their science learning about plants, animals and the seasons.
During their visit they hunted for minibeasts in different habitats and then they made a clay minibeast.
The children did some pond dipping and identified different pond life.
They went on a tractor ride through the orchards to see the different varieties of fruits grown on the farm.
Each child had a colour chart to match to different colour shades of blossom.
